EMBRACE

Those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor.

1 Corinthians 12:22

As with each of our ministries, our goal is to create an inclusive experience for all to connect with God and one another.
Realizing that special needs ministries are not “one size fits all”, we work with each of our Embrace families to better understand their specific needs and work to tailor an experience that meet those needs. Whether it’s full integration in to our weekly CBC experiences or something less integrated, Embrace succeeds as family needs are met.
An adult, teenager, or peer is paired with an individual who has special needs during the typical activities of church life. These Buddies support those with special needs so that they can participate to their full potential.
Buddies are:
Friends, NOT babysitters
Role models, NOT lead teachers
Partners, NOT parents
Advocates, NOT agents
Each CBC Buddy is previously trained or receive training in working across differing abilities and have completed a background investigation. Most importantly, our Buddies are passionate about our EMBRACE purpose, mission and goals.

Meet the Embrace team.
