CBC Member Care is a ministry at Centreville Baptist Church that helps care for our church family and offers a way for believers to use their gifts, skills and experiences to serve others in their time of need. We embrace 1 John 3:18 as our calling. "Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth." 1 John 3:18 (NIV)
We believe that the best and most effective care happens when we are connected with one another. We have community groups for all ages and life stages. Visit our Community Groups page for help discovering the best fit for you.
In addition to receiving care through our Community Groups, we offer additional resources and services, such as prayer, lay counseling and more.

Prayer Team
A small group of Prayer Warriors gather to pray over prayer requests from the church body and from each other online on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm. Anyone is welcome to join! If you have prayer requests or would like to join in, please contact Arthur Keeley.
To request prayer, please call the church office to speak with someone. We would love to pray for you and with you!

Lay Counseling
Trained lay counselors disciple and counsel people who are struggling with life's challenges, such as relational and emotional difficulties. Our counselors help people recognize - and walk in - the freedom they have in Christ Jesus through a Bible-based approach.
If you are interested in learning more or to begin the process of receiving lay counseling, contact Bonita Hurdle.

Prayer Shawls
This ministry prepares hand crocheted or knitted shawls in an array of beautiful colors and soft yarns. These shawls are bathed in prayer as they are created and prayed over by members of this group. They are available for you to give to someone in need of encouragement.
If you know someone in our church body, community, or even across the country who would be blessed by receiving some encouragement in a time of hardship or grief, we will provide you with a shawl and personalized card for delivery.
If you are interested in making shawls or receiving one, please contact Abigail Parker.

Visitation Team
Our visitation team reaches out to people who are in local hospitals or home bound to offer comfort, encouragement, support, and prayer for them and their loved ones.
If you know someone who would be blessed by one of these visits, or if you are interested in joining one of our visitation teams, please call the church office.
